This summer kids ages 5 - 10 participate in a variety of activities surrounding healthy lifestyles and fun topics in medicine! We cover the Little Veterinarian School and Little Sports Medicine themes. In addition, kids have the opportunity to work with real health professionals, engage in fun physical activity with our partner Soccer Shots, and can opt into healthy cooking and nutrition sessions with our partners, Sprouts Cooking Club and Culinary Dude!
Our camp covers multiple areas in health; PLUS our activities include concepts of teamwork, mentorship, problem solving, critical thinking, empathy awareness, altruism, and personal responsibility.
We have both full-day (9am to 4pm) and part-day (9am to noon) sessions available. Extended care (8am to 9am; 4pm - 6pm) is available as well.
Early exposure leads to future passion; We foster fun and healthy lives in kids!
Though the Division of Clinical Anatomy is best known at Stanford for teaching introductory anatomy to medical students and hosting resident training lab sessions, they also offer an assortment of other educational programs, including summer short courses and internships for high school students. Through their Outreach Programs, they provide opportunities to learn about human anatomy, medicine, and medical education to curious learners in the community.
Little Veterinarian School® encourages children to role play and explore the exciting world of veterinarians. Using interactive demonstrations, crafts and games, kids learn how to take care of a pet and use instruments that real veterinarians use. Each student will take home their own stuffed animal dog that they will adopt along with tape measures, dog journal, and dog bone cookie cutter!
Come explore the exciting world of Sports Medicine! Kids learn how real doctors do an assessment for sports injuries and about common problems from playing sports such as sprains, strains, and athlete’s foot and how to diagnosis
and treat them. This is the perfect addition to their Soccer Shots experience and provides a wonderful background in self care concepts as they stay active growing up!
